The Writing House Single eBook Andrew Taylor
I've read several of Andrew Taylor's books and enjoyed them very much. So when I discovered this new short story, I was excited to read it. It's just as well written as his other works that I have had the pleasure to read. Taylor is deft at conjuring tone and mood with spare use of words, a technique that I admire very much. It's a haunted tale of mystery that takes place at a writers retreat somewhere in present day England. For some reason I think it might be in Gloucestershire, but I could very well be mistaken, as England's geography is not something I know very well. There are a few possibly true hints at what it's like to be a writer ... such as inspiration, execution and the after affects of writing a story. Let Andrew be your guide on his "path through the woods", which, in this tale is a metaphor for finding the the most effective way to tell a story. It's also the heart of the mystery. He is gifted at creating a spell with words and finding the best way "through the woods".Product details

The Writing House Single eBook Andrew Taylor Reviews
Good story. Loved the mystery of it. I wish it was longer and that it solved the mystery. Very well written, I truly enjoyed the story. I will read more by this author.
This wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it was a good read nonetheless. The chilling factor doesn't come until the very end, and I am still somewhat shivering at the revelation.
It isn't your typical suspense / thriller, but it's great all the same.
