Hush returns and begins striking at Batman however he can. But when he attacks Catwoman and removes the heart from her chest, has he gone too far?

The Heart of Hush further fleshes out the childhood relationship between Bruce Wayne and Tommy Elliot, aka Hush, as well as that between Batman and Catwoman. It also cements Hush's place in Batman's Rogues Gallery along with legends like The Joker, the Penguin, and the Riddler.

Much like in his initial appearance, the big draw with Hush is that he knows Bruce Wayne well enough to strike him close to home, where it would hurt the most. In this case, it's Catwoman, who is used to show that Batman is still just a man. Hush continues to pal around with Bat-villains like Scarecrow and Mr. Freeze in order to achieve his goals. One thing I really liked in this volume was the Scarecrow juicing up a kidnapped, bat-fearing kid with Venom and unleashing him on Batman.

At the end of the day, however, it's not as remarkable as Hush or The Black Mirror, other recent Batman favorites of mine. Three stars, edging toward four.

Batman Heart of Hush 9781448727070 Books Reviews

It was a decent read, kinda short... I bought this cause I recently reread HUSH and forgot how much I loved that story. I dug the RIP series but never had read this...I thought the two were connected some how (maybe I missed it?) But, whatever... They all can't be winners. Artwork was good.
Wow! The story was amazing. I was a little late to the game on this one. But, i really enjoyed it and it is a great edition to my Batman collection. Hush is one of my favorite Batman villians. I mean he's one of the few that knows that Batman is Bruce Wayne. And that means that Hush can get Batman at a personal level.
The beginning of this saga "Batman Hush" is some of the best Batman out there. This sequel however is not that great. Buy Batman Hush, pass on Batman Heart of Hush.
My only real complaints about this book is that it's too short, and some of the character appearances felt a little forced. "Hush" wove many characters into a long and winding narrative. This book tried to follow in its footsteps without having as solid or lengthy of a story. It's a decent story, with great artwork, but it felt far too short.
Recommended reading Batman Hush, Batman Hush Money

Typical of Paul Dini, this story isn't boring for those of us who love pairing Batman & Catwoman, this story involves a short run that explains the origination of Hush and the tragic story that brought him into "The abyss." This story doesn't disappoint in Batman's clever ingenuity and fail-safe ideas to save those he cares about. There is one or two moments that leave you wondering why Hush didn't kill Batman, but that perhaps would spoil the fun of it all.

There are a couple of easter eggs in this one, particularly in the Batcave. This story also adds more depth to Peyton Riley as she is key to Hush's fall and gives glimpse into Peyton Riley's (Ventriloquist II) fall into the abyss as well.
If you liked Batman Hush, you will enjoy this installment!
The villain is incredibly calculating, and Catwoman is featured in this suspenseful adventure. If you are familiar with the villain, you will truly enjoy this rendition of him. This short 'n sweet trade is so good that when it ended, I went ahead and purchased the other Batman stories featuring Hush.
Excellent artwork and spot-on inking.
A neat follow up to the classic Hush. I recommend reading Batman Hush before this comic, then Gotham City Sirens Book One & Book Two afterwards. Great story that dives in Hush's backstory further. The art is pretty good, but not quite Jim Lee's iconic work in Batman Hush. Paul Dini's writing is excellent, so the graphic novel is very compelling.
